Dr Alex Starling

Alex is involved with all aspects of Strata's tech-focussed work, with particular emphasis on engineering and the physical sciences (specifically physics, chemistry, materials).

Prior to joining Strata, Alex worked with a London-based security technology company specialising in CCTV solutions and with DERA, the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency of the Ministry of Defence (now QinetiQ/DSTL).

Recent deals includes the private placement of £5 million in Novel Polymer Solutions Ltd (NPS) by Environmental Technologies Fund in May 2008.

Alex has a PhD in Engineering (2004); an MA (Cantab) in Engineering (First Class Honours, 2000) and a Masters of Engineering (2000), all from Cambridge University. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
