Dr Dion Vaughan

Dion joined Strata at its formation in 2002/03.

Dion has over 20 years experience in industry and corporate finance. His career has spanned positions in Johnson Matthey, BP Research, Centre for Exploitation of Science & Technology and Sheffield Forgemasters covering R&D, manufacturing, marketing and business development. As a corporate financier he has worked for JP Morgan, Chase Manhattan and Robert Fleming where he worked on a wide variety of mergers & acquisitions, debt and equity capital raises, privatisations and strategic advisory assignments.

Dion focuses, in particular, on high tech engineering and environmental technologies at Strata. He has, amongst other transactions, acted for Royal Bank Scotland & West LB in respect of a debt refinancing of Leybold Optics AG, sale of product release testing businesses for ATR Group Plc, equity private placement for Novel Polymer Systems, strategic advisory for Deloro Stellite Group, public offer for Doncasters plc, merger of Smiths & TI Group plc, sale of Lee Precision for Carclo plc, acquisition of a stake in Patria Oy for EADS, privatisation of Huta Sendzimira for Polish Treasury.

Dion has awarded a PhD in Material Science from Queen Mary College, University of London.
